When the Utah Jazz Basketball Team Stayed at a Terrible Hotel in NYC, “Trump Came Up Big” and Helped Them Out.

Jazz forward Karl Malone, who grew up in rural Summerfield, La., and hates big cities, has had a rough time in the Big Apple. “I will say it’s been the most terrible day-and-a-half I’ve had” he said. “There was no one to greet us at the hotel and tell us where we need to go. The room was about as big as Junior’s room — I could turn on my television with my toes. Then I woke up [Friday] to 7 o’clock construction right above us with jack-hammers.” So he left the Hilton and checked into a Donald Trump hotel. “I’d be happy to pay my own bill,” Malone said. “Donald Trump came up big for us.”
