Gold Star father receives $25,000 check from Trump
The father of a soldier killed in Afghanistan finally received $25,000 from President Trump, months after he promised to send a personal check.
Chris Baldridge, whose son Army. Cpl. Dillon Baldridge was killed by an Afghan police officer on June 10, said “I’m still speechless. We are so moved and grateful, and we promise to use the money to honor Dillon’s legacy.”
“Enclosed is a check for $25,000 — I hope this will make things a bit easier, but nothing will ever replace your son, Dillon. He was an American hero,” the letter read.
