On the 60th anniversary of the Red Cross Ball, there was nothing political on the menu-unless you count the President and First Lady, eight foreign ambassadors to the United States, noblemen from England, France and Italy, several US ambassadors, a member of the cabinet, and the Chilean sea bass. Even President Trump, who likes to stir up more things than Julia Child, kept his remarks short, moderate and relaxed.
He and his wife, Melania, have appeared at most of the Red Cross balls held at Mar-a-Lago for the past 12 years. (But not last year, when it was scheduled for the same night as a presidential primary debate.)
President Donald Trump and Melania Trump arrive on Saturday at the Mar -a -Lago Club at the Diamond Centennial Red Cross Ball.
President Trump has a long history of donating to the Red Cross and hosting their events at Mar-a-lago. President Trump’s Inaugural Committee donated 1 million dollars to the Red Cross. In 2006, Trump flew a group of diplomats to Palm Beach on his 727 Jet to attend a Red Cross fundraiser. He also donated over $230,000 from the Donald J. Trump Foundation over the years and an additional $50k+ of non-foundation money from the data he released for the years 2010-2015.
Please google for this event and you will find that other than the palm beach news article above…the only some what positive article about this even was a 78 word article by ABC News. Zero other networks wrote anything neutral or positive.
