Real estate Mogul and newly declared presidential candidate Donald Trump and New York Yankees owner Hank Steinbrenner have joined forces at the brand-new Trump Golf course to host the First Annual Hank’s Yanks Golf Classic on 6 July. This will feature a dinner and silent auction and will be the first high profile event at New York ‘s first public golf course in 52 years, the highly anticipated new public golf course. The Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point was designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus and opened in April 2015 and will host upcoming championships such as Barclay and the USA Open.
The golf event includes: Reggie Jackson, Rudy Giuliani, Richard Gere, Aiello Danny, Chazz Palminteri, Strawberry Daryl, Cone David, Wells David, Tim Raines, Randolph Willie, Anderson Danny, Landeta Sean, Artist Billy, and many former Yankees. Three organizations will benefit from the Charity Tournament: Hank’s Yanks, The Kenneth A. Smaltz Sr. Foundation for Alzheimer’s Care, and The St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Hank’s Yanks is a non-profit travel baseball team organization run by Hank Steinbrenner, the New York Yankees co-owner. Funds will support baseball activities and community involvement of Hank’s Yanks young athletes. Many players come from difficult areas, where baseball is an activity to continue along a positive path in life.
The Kenneth A. Smaltz Sr. Foundation for Alzheimer’s Care gives support for people living with dementia, their families and caregivers, and provides leadership in policy and services.
The St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Foundation, based in Tampa, Florida, reflects the trust and reliance generations of children, parents and families, and has helped to maintain their rich tradition of compassionate care while fueling innovation and medical excellence and enabling facilities, technology, programs and services to better serve the needs of each patient.
